General Information
Can I buy tickets on site?
This is a free event that requires registration. All patrons entering the venue must have a ticket. Tickets may be available on the night of the performance from the box offices at South and North gates, subject to availability. To avoid disappointment, pre-registering for your free tickets is recommended. Please see the event page for more information.
Do I need to bring my own seat/s?
No, this is a ticketed event with allocated seating. You do not need to bring your own seat.
What time should I get there?
Gates open at 6.30pm. The performance starts at 8pm.
How long is the concert?
The performance will run for 75 minutes; there will be no interval.
What should I wear / not wear?
Please ensure you wear flat footwear (no heels) as the event takes place on a grassed area. Please also ensure you dress appropriately for the weather as this is an outdoor event; it may get cold as it gets later.
Where can I enter the event?
You can enter via the South Gate entrance (alongside the River Torrens via the footbridge) or via the North Gate (enter via Pennington Terrace). Please check your ticket for the designated entrance for your assigned/allocated seat. If you need further information, please see the Adelaide Oval map.
Will the concert go ahead if it’s raining?
The concert will go ahead rain or shine. In the case of severe weather, please check the event page at 4pm on the day of the performance for final weather details.
Is it an accessible event?
Adelaide Oval is committed to ensuring all patrons have an enjoyable and comfortable experience when visiting the stadium, including those with access needs. Event staff are available to help you to your seat or other facilities around the stadium. Can I bring my own food and/or drinks?
Yes, you can bring food and non-alcoholic beverages. However, you cannot bring glass, cans or utensils that could be considered weapons (e.g. knives).
COVID-19 Information
What COVID-19 requirements do I need to be aware of?
Adelaide Oval is a double COVID-19 vaccination-only venue as of 23 November 2021.
As hirers of the Adelaide Oval, the Festival’s Macro opening weekend event and ICEHOUSE: Great Southern Land 2022 concert will fall under the Oval’s COVID Management Plan and Conditions of Entry.
Under the Conditions of Entry, all ticket holders aged 12+ will be required to display their COVID-19 Digital Certificate via their smart phone prior to entry. Where this is not possible, a printed immunisation statement along with proof of identification will be accepted.
Those with an official medical exemption will need to show their certificate of exemption and provide a recent negative PCR test result no older than 72 hours along with proof of identification.
This requirement will be enforced, with individuals who are not able to provide proof of double COVID-19 vaccination, or a valid exemption, denied entry.

Do I have to wear a mask?
Yes. Under the COVID Management Plan, it is a mandatory requirement from SA Health for patrons to wear a mask at all times and in all areas, including when seated, except when eating and drinking. Children under 12 years old are not required to wear a mask. You will need to bring your own mask.
Do I need to be seated to eat or drink?
Yes, all food and beverage consumption, indoor and outdoor, must be seated.
Facilities
Is there an ATM on site?
ATMs at Adelaide Oval have overhead signs and accessible features.
Adelaide Oval food and beverage outlets now accept payment by card only. This assists with speed of service and also reflects the strong consumer trend towards increased use of ‘tap and go’ payment facilities.
All credit, debit and EFTPOS cards are accepted and all are exempt of surcharges. Patrons attending Adelaide Oval with cash only will be able to exchange it for a complimentary ‘Cash Card’ via Cash to Card Exchange booths located around the stadium. Any un-used ‘Cash Card’ credit can be used at future events or redeemed in full at any time.
Will bars and kiosks be open?
Yes, bars and kiosks adjacent active seating bays and hospitality spaces will be open. Please note, Adelaide Oval food and beverage outlets only accept payment by card. For those patrons who may attend with cash only, card exchange booths are located around the stadium. Download the MyVenue App and order drinks from your seat to save time before heading to your closest bar for collection. The Oval's friendly bar staff will be able to assist with any questions you might have about using the app.
Please note: all food and beverage consumption, indoor and outdoor, must be seated.
Is there First Aid on site?
There will be dedicated First Aid on site for the event as well as security to ensure a fun and safe experience for all guests. Chat to our Front of House staff if you need anything during the event.
What if I lose something during the event?

Transport
Will there be somewhere to lock my bike?
Yes, we love to encourage cycling to events. Bikes are not allowed inside the venue, however bike parking is situated at the Oval.
How do I get to the event?
Adelaide Oval is located 400 metres from the CBD and just a few minutes’ walk from public transport networks (train, bus and tram). Patrons are strongly encouraged to use public transport when attending events at Adelaide Oval.
Train
The Adelaide Railway Station is located on North Terrace, approximately a five-minute walk across the Riverbank footbridge or via King William Street. For timetables and more information visit the Adelaide Metro website.
Tram
Trams operate between Glenelg and the city with stops located on North Terrace and King William Road (outside the Adelaide Festival Centre). For timetables and more information please visit the Adelaide Metro website.
Bus
Bus services run throughout the Adelaide metropolitan area and service several bus stops in the vicinity of Adelaide Oval. Refer to the Adelaide Metro website for details.
Taxi
On major event days, taxi ranks and drop-off zones are located on Pennington Terrace and King William Road.
